Link Account to Web Interface
Apologies if this has already been proposed, but I didn’t find it if it has been.
Ever find yourself at work or school when you suddenly feel the need to look at one of your GW characters’ status? “Did I do the bonus on that mission?” “Did I already cap that Elite?” Well, since you’re not at your gaming rig at the time, you can’t look to see. You’ll just have to wait until you get home. Unless….
How about being able to go to a Web site and being able to see all the missions and quests you’ve completed as well as all your skills and weapons. Maybe even seeing if you still have that Green item in storage.
Your account is linked to a database on a server (or servers), so you can log on to any computer that has the Guild Wars client installed anywhere in the world and be able to access all of your characters and all of your stuff. Since it is linked to a database, it could, in theory, be linked to a Web site where you would be able to review each of your characters. This could also have many other uses, such as planning out your strategies for each of your characters or comparing your build to the latest flavor of the month without having to actually go into Guild Wars.
I know there are applications out there that help you track such things, but you have to fill those in manually. And there’s the chance for human error. And since this would be linked directly to your Anet account, it would be absolutely up to date.
There are dangers of course. For instance, security would have to be extremely tight. Since there would be Web access, there could be the danger of being attacked by hackers.
Thoughts? Comments?

sounds a bit like WoW forums, where you log into your game account and pick which char you want to post on. thus it will show lvl of char and gear/armor your char has equipped for all to see.
in wow this works, since it is a real mmo that your char lives in, when you open the game up you dont spawn in the last town you were at.
but in GW...why would you need to know if you did thirsty river on your ranger? you would already know that, and if you didnt. you would when you logged on. i can see this being nice to look at other players profiles, seeing their accomplishments on titles and such. but the game is so small everyone would be the same, 15k armor and lvl20 with green weps would be 80% of the community. just seems like its showing what we already know.

if your that addicted, you need help. thats all i was gonna say but...
honestly, if your at work -you should be working.
if your at school - you should learning things like, for instance, not to post useless things like this.
no offense intended but, <*refer back to my first line of text*>

What does addiction have to do with it? Sometimes you may not have access to the game and may want to look at something regarding your account. And when you're at work or school, you do get breaks from time to time. I'm not talking about a web interface to play the game.
Edit to add: And I mean no offense, but it's pretty naive to imply that no one ever should ever surf the web when at work at school. Millions do every day.
